Now we will learn another set of letters that are also similar, \u3132, \u3138, \u3149, \u3143 and \u3146. If you noticed, they are just a double version of \u3131, \u3137, \u3148, \u3142, \u3145. These sounds are not only the hardest to explain, but the hardest to pronounce for non native speakers since there is nothing remotely similar in English or other languages. These letters will take a lot of practice to pronounce, so listen carefully to the audio and make sure you can distinguish it from other sounds. The best way I can generalize these sounds are they are stronger and more tensed versions of some of the previous sounds you&#8217;ve learned. Note <b>these consonants are not aspirated<\/b>.<br \/>\n\n<\/p>\n<h2>\n<span id=\"Diphthongs_.28double_vowels.29\"><\/span><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Diphthongs_(double_vowels)\">Diphthongs (double vowels)<\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>Diphthongs are defined as: &#8220;a complex vowel sound in which the first vowel gradually moves toward a second vowel so that both vowels form one syllable, e.g. &#8220;a&#8221; and &#8220;i&#8221; in &#8220;rail.&#8221; Take the vowel from  and make it tight and quick \/e\/, then quickly add the vowel from , \/\u026a\/. <sup>1<\/sup> The vowels we are learning are a combination of vowels we already learned. For example \u3158 is a combination of \u3157 and \u314f, but with a \/w\/ sound in front.
